Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 2 Out July 30th

A sequel to a classic XBLA arcade game, is coming out this week (July 30th, 2008 to be specific) and I’m sure you all would like to know some of the details about this new release! I’ll give you a couple of points to drool over.

  • Six action-packed gamemodes: Deadline, Evolved, King, Pacifism, Waves, and Sequence.
  • 4 Player Action! Play versus, with teams, or co-op!
  • New Geoms, that increase your multiplier! (And the multiplier is no longer capped at 10x, in fact, it’s not capped at all!
  • New enemies, to trouble even the most professional of Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved players!
  • 800 MSP (or 10 dollars) cost

N+ XBLA Review

This week, I’ll be reviewing an older, but high quality, XBLA (Xbox live arcade) title. N+. This game, is a meld of action and puzzle, that is executed so well, that nothing but pure bliss can pursue.

Fun Coffee-Break Game: Lost Labyrinth

I came across this gem while scouring the internet one day. It is a “roguelike” game, supporting multiple players on hotseat (on computer) and many randomly generated dungeons. This is a fun game to play for a few minutes or to try to conquer by state saving.

The Splash Screen of Drak

A long time ago, on my very first computer ever (386) I played a game known as Drak. I only ever had the shareware version, but dreamt of having the full version to play all 100 levels. A few years later, I remembered this dream, but found to my dismay, that the company the sold the game was out of business, and there was barely any trace on the internet the game had ever existed! So now, my quest begins many years after that, to find the full version of that game!
